New Jersey Society for Public Health Education (NJSOPHE) is a professional organization of Health Educators. The purpose of this chapter is to promote, encourage, and contribute to the advancement of the health of all people through education by encouraging study, improving practices, and elevating standards in the field of public health education. NJSOPHE provides an opportunity for its members to foster and improve health education principles through New Jersey.

The mission of NJ SOPHE is to provide leadership to the profession of health education and to contribute to the health of all people through excellence in health education practice and promotion of public health policies conducive to health.
NJ SOPHE promotes healthy behaviors, healthy communities, and healthy environments through its membership and its numerous focus on public health education. NJ SOPHE promotes standards of excellence of professional preparation, research and practice, professional development, and public outreach.
